I loved that my client used the word timeless to describe the look and feel we were trying to create with this session. I heart her and her adorable family of three!

August 2, 2010Two is grand! | austin child and family photographer
August 1, 2010I realized recently that it’s been awhile since I photographed a two-year-old right around their birthday. We had such fun in the sun at this session! He reminds me a bit of my son, so of course I just thought every little thing he did was too cute!

And what better way to celebrate two than with cupcakes?! He was thrilled about the idea!

May 17, 2010This little darling is well adored by her parents – and rightfully so! She’s a very soulful little one, and I absolutely love that! We have some very special portraits from this session – I’m quite a bit over my “must haves” for one session! (That’s a good thing in my book!)
I love that mama is smiling at her and that her little dog is nearby!
The next picture is one of my favorites from the session! I love any picture that shows us something about motherhood, and this one is very “in the moment”.
And one of beautiful mommy!
so much beauty

March 25, 2010Photographer’s children are the most difficult to photograph. It’s a fact. I told my son he could have a new train if he took pictures with me today, not realizing it was raining all day. I didn’t mention it again in hopes he’d forget, but little boys don’t forget about new trains!
“Okay, Mom, let’s take pictures now!”
“Well, it’s a rainy day, so we’re going to have to taken them another day.”
He opens the door and walks outside, “It’s not raining! See? It’s all better! Let’s take pictures and get a new train together!!!”
Is my child really excited about taking pictures? Turns out it was still a bit wet for it really, but we managed a few in a small window of opportunity (small window = attention span of a three-year-old). I am determined to take his “real” four-year pictures somewhere near his birthday this year!
And we are now the proud owners of “The Merriest Team” GeoTrax train, a.k.a “my special silver train”.

March 15, 2010… is back! As soon as his face lit up, I remembered just how adorable his little blue eyes are! And lucky me, I get to photograph him again after he has a little baby brother this year!
This is what I like to call “dreamy light”!
Do dinosaurs say “Moooo”. No, they say:

How fun this family is! I truly can’t wait to meet your new little one!!!

February 22, 2010What a blessing to have photographed this beautiful family as they celebrate the arrival of their fourth child! You simply must read their story on mom’s blog and hear dad’s song written for their sweet boy Amos. Their journey is both challenging and inspirational. Thank you for sharing your family with us!

I think that all children want to see pictures of themselves as children interacting with their parents. I try to remember this at each family session. Here are a few of the pictures with mom and papa!

And some of just the kiddies…

I just loved her little expression here!

So precious!

So pretty!

And, of course, we have several of the whole family!
