If ever you have been a skeptic about love, you wouldn’t be after meeting this sweet couple. I’m always thrilled to capture a little stolen glance on the wedding day, but there were literally dozens of pictures of the two of them together – gazing and happy as can be.

Their wedding took place at the Allen House in central Austin, one of my favorite venues for pictures. What a gorgeous backdrop!

What a lovely day – I’m so glad that I was selected to capture it!

I just posted on facebook that I’m on vacation  until the 27th. ‘Tis true, but I do have a layover in Salt Lake City right now, and thought I’d post a few of the pictures I’ve been working on for the beautiful bride and her groom!

confession

Sometimes I have a hard time letting go of my clients’ products – I want to keep them like little trophies. Such was the case with this black leather image box filled with 25 mounted portraits!

The only thing better than photographing a tiny, new life over the course of the first year is following it up with a newborn sister! And she was just as sweet as could be!

And a series of big sister!

Many congrats to these proud parents on two beautiful girls!

A mini session usually lasts about 20-30 minutes. This little joy was so smiley and perfect, that we “could” have been finished in five. Instead, we took the extra time to explore a bit and we ended up with great variety! Such a pleasure to see her and her sweet mama again!

I’m glad that my job is to reveal the connections between people through photographs instead of writing about them. I’ve been “pretend tapping” my keys here for a few minutes. How do I tell my blog readers that this family loves beautifully? How do I tell them that their love really moved me and inspired? Well, my hope is that words aren’t required!

This is the groom and his son. I had to collect myself for a second after shooting these – how touching the moments between a father and his boy!

I have a feeling these adorable tutus came from Smartie Pantz Boutique in Bee Cave/Marble Falls!

I love this sweet moment:

This wedding took place at the Hyatt Lost Pines resort in Bastrop. It was very special, as you can see!

I left this wedding smiling. I have picture after picture of the two of them together – happy. What joy they brought to everyone attending the wedding! Their wedding took place at the beautiful Mercury Hall in South Austin.

I was editing some of their wedding pictures tonight and just fell in love with these formals! Aren’t they dreamy? Such a loving and sweet couple!

And one from their beautiful ceremony underneath the trees…

I love the way families experience the arrival of a new, precious addition. She was the most peaceful baby – sleeping soundly and not a fuss. What a joy!

He adores his little sister so much already!

Lots!

June 21, 2010

Monday through Wednesday we worked on moving into our new place and I somehow managed to meet with two clients, make three trips to the post office, and return about 50 e-mails, on Thursday my parents arrived from Phoenix, on Friday I worked on calligraphy and then at night I photographed an intimate wedding at the beautiful Allan House with a couple who is just as in love as can be and then at 5:00 AM Saturday my husband and I started the drive to Midland, where I photographed another gorgeous wedding with an inspiring couple (and a sweet family I was so happy to see again)! I went to bed at about 1:30 Sunday morning, woke up, drove straight from Midland to the movie theater in Austin to watch Toy Story with my family (Father’s Day celebration) and hug and kiss my son a million times, and now I’m submitting a few print orders so that they’ll be happily waiting when the print shops open tomorrow morning. So, as you can see, LOTS of stuff has been going on – and with it there have been so many blessings! In the midst of personal busyness, I’ve gone through hundreds (perhaps thousands) of images of people who love, have cried happy tears at two beautiful weddings, and experienced a renewed energy for what I do. My commitment to spending the proper amount of time with my client’s images is still going strong and I do believe any additional wait time incurred is well worth it!

And what is a post without some pictures? I have LOTS (must go with blog post title) of love for this bride-to-be, who drove in from Temple with her mom (incredibly patient with Austin’s tendency towards three names per one street) for her bridal portraits. What an honor! She’s selected such a fabulous dress – I can’t wait for the big day in August!!!

Um, yes. She is one beautiful bride!!
