What a special session! When mom called and told me about what “props” were going to be available to us at this session, I started dreaming. I’m hoping that I’ll be invited back because this is certainly a place to visit over and over again. The kids were a sweet as could be and ever so excited to play in their grandfather’s restored truck and antique tractor!

I just love this family!

Alas, I’m working on photographing my products! While most clients place their session orders in person so that they can actually see all of the options, out of town clients need the next best thing: pictures! I’ve added a “products” section of my main site with album pictures and will be adding these to my client guides as well. Do take a gander!

Ashley and BJ are the sweetest of the sweet, and their wedding was beautiful. The formal pictures and reception were held at Tenroc Ranch in Salado. The day was windy – I believe about 35 MPH winds, so we didn’t get to take advantage of the green grounds like I planned. I have to say, though, that these pictures aren’t lacking in spite of the change in plans! ;)

dancing is an understatement…

Aren’t they great?

My heart leaps when established clients ring for new sessions! And when they show up to their session looking as fabulous as this family did, my heart double leaps!

Be still my heart.

This is a family who really loves. I love that. {Thank you for selecting me to capture you.}

This little man has grown and changed so much over his first year that I instantly had to choke back tears (all of my poor spring clients have to deal with this, as my son has an April birthday and I get sentimental)! At the one year session, part of me wants to give mom and dad big hugs and say, “You made it! The best is yet to come!” I don’t know, though, this little one had a sweet disposition at his newborn session and one year – perhaps that carried through the months in between! At any rate, here he is, an adorable one-year-old!

I love Austin for so many things – gorgeous green trees in the spring being one of those! I can’t wait to photograph this darling couple’s wedding at one of my favorite Austin venues next month!

You two are so great! ;)

Side note, these last few days have flown by! I’ve photographed a much anticipated wedding, which is many, many hours beyond actual shooting, celebrated my son’s fourth birthday as a family and then at his birthday party, and fallen ill. What a whirlwind! I’m responding to e-mail and phone calls as fast as I can, but am also trying to keep healthy so that I can keep up with quite a demanding spring schedule. Thanks for your patience!

What a joy to see this family again this year! They travelled up from San Antonio for an early morning session. Little miss has changed so much in the last year, and is every bit as delightful… as you can see!

And, of course, I’m not at all opposed to some classic look-at-the-camera portraits:

I just can’t believe this is my third session over the last year with this adorable little boy! He’s one already! He graced the home page of my website with his sweet little newborn self for almost a year!

It was a windy, windy day on the day of our shoot (well, actually, just around the time we were holding the session, and then it stopped of course!), and he was still full of smiles!

Thank you, M family, for letting me capture this first year! You are a beautiful family!

If I’ve photographed your wedding recently, you may recognize her. She’s my wonderful, fabulous second shooter (slash keeps everything sane slash really awesome gal). What an honor to photograph her sweet family!

A beauty, isn’t she?
