These sweeties are friends from Austin who moved to Rhode Island to open the fabulous Ocean House (such the perfect vacation spot). We took these pictures of my friend and her two little loves there. At lunch afterwards, she told us (photographed this session with my friend and amazing photographer Erin Bell from CT) that when she found out she was pregnant, she just hoped for healthy. We were all teary eyed as she told how blessed she was by a beautiful, perfect, precious baby girl – who is healthy.

I’m so happy for you, K!

… and they can! But first, let me show you the gorgeous preparation and ceremony images we captured from this fabulous day!

I do love the full hanging dress picture as well, but my favorites of the dress are always the details…

The ceremony took place at the beautiful St. Austin church on Guadalupe. I always love photographing weddings here!

How fun is this… they wedding party took a trolley to the reception venue!

The reception was held at the Texas Federation of Women’s Clubs. I may have found my new favorite reception site!

The couple decided on a dinner served “family style” at each table, which was such a nice touch! Stefanie with Your Wedding Your Way coordinated the reception. I was very impressed with the dj, Greenbelt DJ. I highly recommend!

These moves deserve a little series of their own:

What a fun night (as you can see)!

If ever you have been a skeptic about love, you wouldn’t be after meeting this sweet couple. I’m always thrilled to capture a little stolen glance on the wedding day, but there were literally dozens of pictures of the two of them together – gazing and happy as can be.

Their wedding took place at the Allen House in central Austin, one of my favorite venues for pictures. What a gorgeous backdrop!

What a lovely day – I’m so glad that I was selected to capture it!

I just posted on facebook that I’m on vacation  until the 27th. ‘Tis true, but I do have a layover in Salt Lake City right now, and thought I’d post a few of the pictures I’ve been working on for the beautiful bride and her groom!

confession

July 15, 2010

Sometimes I have a hard time letting go of my clients’ products – I want to keep them like little trophies. Such was the case with this black leather image box filled with 25 mounted portraits!

The only thing better than photographing a tiny, new life over the course of the first year is following it up with a newborn sister! And she was just as sweet as could be!

And a series of big sister!

Many congrats to these proud parents on two beautiful girls!

A mini session usually lasts about 20-30 minutes. This little joy was so smiley and perfect, that we “could” have been finished in five. Instead, we took the extra time to explore a bit and we ended up with great variety! Such a pleasure to see her and her sweet mama again!

I’m glad that my job is to reveal the connections between people through photographs instead of writing about them. I’ve been “pretend tapping” my keys here for a few minutes. How do I tell my blog readers that this family loves beautifully? How do I tell them that their love really moved me and inspired? Well, my hope is that words aren’t required!

This is the groom and his son. I had to collect myself for a second after shooting these – how touching the moments between a father and his boy!

I have a feeling these adorable tutus came from Smartie Pantz Boutique in Bee Cave/Marble Falls!

I love this sweet moment:

This wedding took place at the Hyatt Lost Pines resort in Bastrop. It was very special, as you can see!

I left this wedding smiling. I have picture after picture of the two of them together – happy. What joy they brought to everyone attending the wedding! Their wedding took place at the beautiful Mercury Hall in South Austin.

I was editing some of their wedding pictures tonight and just fell in love with these formals! Aren’t they dreamy? Such a loving and sweet couple!

And one from their beautiful ceremony underneath the trees…
