So many of the portraits from this session were so pretty in black and white, I just had to share a few of them here. The parents are just enamored with their new baby girl, and it was very inspiring!

September 3, 2010Oooooooooooh joy! Holiday portraits have officially begun at j.cota, and I’m thrilled! My fall calendar is almost completely full, believe it or not, and I’m thrilled to have so many treasured clients returning as well as a few new families!
This is my third session with them, and they are just as perfect as ever. I SO badly want to spoil the surprise on their card picture this year, but I know that they have several friends who frequent this blog. I’ll keep the family pictures hidden until the cards are mailed, but we did something extra special with this session!! Now I have you in suspense…
I love when last minute clothing choices come together perfectly. I came home and immediately downloaded the pictures, hunted for the above shot, and cheered that it was just as beautiful as I thought it would be when taking it!

August 22, 2010Speaking of newborns… I had the pleasure of photographing twins last week! This is my third year photographing this adorable family as well. They new little ones are such little sweeties. And it was so fun to see big brother walking and talking and playing; I believe that he was the third newborn baby I photographed!

August 17, 2010Is it fair that every member of one family have incredible eyes like this? No. Am I thanking my lucky stars that they’re my clients? Yes! Honestly, though, I don’t think that they can take bad pictures.
And after the second year of photographing their birthday parties, I don’t think they can throw a bad party, either. Lots of fun little moments and adorable kiddos running around!

August 16, 2010This is my third year photographing this family, and how wonderful to hear that they welcomed a new baby boy this year! He is every bit as precious as he looks. What joy!
And over the last week, I’ve discovered that FIVE of my clients are expecting or have just had babies that I’ll be photographing. Baby heaven!!
She was such an angel with her little baby brother! I remember when my little brother was born; it’s the sweetest thing to be a big sister!

August 2, 2010I loved that my client used the word timeless to describe the look and feel we were trying to create with this session. I heart her and her adorable family of three!

August 1, 2010I realized recently that it’s been awhile since I photographed a two-year-old right around their birthday. We had such fun in the sun at this session! He reminds me a bit of my son, so of course I just thought every little thing he did was too cute!

And what better way to celebrate two than with cupcakes?! He was thrilled about the idea!

July 31, 2010What a gorgeous wedding! I had the pleasure of photographing the groom’s sister’s wedding last year, and knew that these two were headed to the altar soon to follow. I secretly wished that they would contact me when it was their day, and to my delight, they did! The ceremony brought tears to my eyes, the reception brought celebration, and their departure left joy to all those that attended. Perfect!

(My husband took the above shot – I love it!)

July 29, 2010These sweeties are friends from Austin who moved to Rhode Island to open the fabulous Ocean House (such the perfect vacation spot). We took these pictures of my friend and her two little loves there. At lunch afterwards, she told us (photographed this session with my friend and amazing photographer Erin Bell from CT) that when she found out she was pregnant, she just hoped for healthy. We were all teary eyed as she told how blessed she was by a beautiful, perfect, precious baby girl – who is healthy.
I’m so happy for you, K!
… and they can! But first, let me show you the gorgeous preparation and ceremony images we captured from this fabulous day!
I do love the full hanging dress picture as well, but my favorites of the dress are always the details…
The ceremony took place at the beautiful St. Austin church on Guadalupe. I always love photographing weddings here!
How fun is this… they wedding party took a trolley to the reception venue!

The reception was held at the Texas Federation of Women’s Clubs. I may have found my new favorite reception site!

The couple decided on a dinner served “family style” at each table, which was such a nice touch! Stefanie with Your Wedding Your Way coordinated the reception. I was very impressed with the dj, Greenbelt DJ. I highly recommend!
