I will have the pleasure of photographing this beautiful couple’s wedding in October! I’m so glad they trusted me with what probably seemed like peculiar picture ideas; we have a great set of engagement pictures. I hope you enjoy the sneak peek!

Look at those eyes!

What sweet souls they are!

That’s what a gentleman who walked around a corner downtown and found us shooting this picture said (followed by a few words describing how gorgeous this girl is)! I’m going to have to agree…

I’m going to have to boast a bit about the bride of this wedding. She designed all of the detail items you see here herself. It’s so fun to have a themed wedding, and this one went international!

As you can see, I had quite a bit of fun with their bridal party! I’m working backwards here a bit… the ceremony did occur first! Take note of the programs, which have an illustration of the actual chapel they were married in on the front. Clever, no?

What a beautiful wedding day this was! I’m so honored to have photographed it!

… for how breathtaking the relationship between a mother and child is. Especially this one. Goodness me, I do adore this whole family!

It was a cold day, and you would never know it by his sweet smile!

My favorite part about this picture is his little fingers resting on mommy’s hands.

News!

February 24, 2010

Here’s the latest and greatest:

:: It SNOWED in Austin!!

:: There are only three spots open for portrait sessions on Saturdays between now and the end of May!

:: I have a flooded e-mail inbox right now. It’s mostly due to spring inquiries and wedding season coming in at the same time as the invitation rush with my calligraphy business. Keep ‘em coming, but just know that I’m typing as fast as humanly possible while also editing, addressing, designing, and shooting. ;)

:: Please remember that ordering appointments and wedding consultations need to be scheduled in advance just like a session or event would. I’m often booked at least a couple weeks out.

:: As a general rule, please seek to book your session about four weeks before you would like to have your portraits. I most cases, it won’t take four weeks for an order to be fulfilled, but it never ever hurts to have a bit of cushion.

:: Did I forget to mention? This would be my photo of one gorgeous mama-to-be (love you M) on the December issue:

What a blessing to have photographed this beautiful family as they celebrate the arrival of their fourth child! You simply must read their story on mom’s blog and hear dad’s song written for their sweet boy Amos. Their journey is both challenging and inspirational. Thank you for sharing your family with us!

I think that all children want to see pictures of themselves as children interacting with their parents. I try to remember this at each family session. Here are a few of the pictures with mom and papa!

And some of just the kiddies…

I just loved her little expression here!

So precious!

So pretty!

And, of course, we have several of the whole family!

I’m almost finished with this session, and I’m just amazed at how many good pictures we got. I love this one, too…

It was so fun photographing these two! It’s been delightful working with the bride-to-be, who found me through her dear friend, who was also delightful to work with (did you follow?).

It so happens that we scheduled this session on the one nice day among several cold ones. Phew! One thing I love about Austin is that green is to be found even in February. :)

So cute, aren’t they?

I walked through the door and little H jumps out and exclaims with an energetic: “Hi!” My kind of kid! This is year two of a joy-filled session with this sweet family. I’m so honored!

And here’s their flashback from last year!
